Wow. Pharmaceutical companies undermined not only their own credibility – but that of all serious medical science – by making inflated claims about vaccine effectiveness.

In other words, instead of actually addressing our public health crisis, they were focused on making a multi-billion dollar sales pitch to the highest bidding nation states -– and in the process blocked poorer countries from mass producing the vaccine.

Now that the catastrophic failure of privatized medicine is undeniable, there’s a desperate PR effort to frame this pandemic as just another battlefront in the (largely manufactured) “culture wars.”
